Woman had bag snatched as she walked down road in Northamptonshire town

A woman had her handbag stolen as she walked down a road in the centre of Brackley today (Thursday March 24).

The robbery happened at about 1.45pm in Halse Road. The victim, who was in her 60s, was walking along the road when her brown leather handbag was snatched from her hand.

She did not see the offender but an old light blue or metallic green car was seen to drive away immediately afterwards. The vehicle pulled out in front of a black car and then headed in the direction of High Street.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting incident 283 of 24 March.
