VIDEO: Police officers close house in Northampton following complaints of anti social behaviour and drug use

Officers in Northampton have closed a house in the town following '˜countless' complaints from neighbours about constant noise and anti social behaviour linked to drug use.

Northamptonshire Police executed a closure order on the property in Kingsland Avenue, Northampton last week.

Northamptonshire Police, working with Northampton Partnership Homes and Northampton Borough Council, were granted the order by Magistrates on Thursday, April 7.

Officers have received countless complaints in recent months from local residents about constant noise coming from the property, as well as anti social behaviour linked to drug use.

This evidence was presented to Northampton Magistrates’ Court which granted the three month closure order.

Sergeant Tamlin Rees, from the North East Safer Community Team, said: “We have had lots of complaints from local people about the negative impact the actions of the people living and visiting this house had on them.

“Working with our partners, we were able to present a lot of evidence to the Magistrate who granted this closure order.
