Two teenage boys arrested after knife-point robbery in Abington Park in Northampton

Two teenage boys have been arrested after a 14-year-old boy was robbed at knife-point in Abington Park in Northampton.

The boy was sitting in the park with a friend sometime between 3.30pm and 5.30pm on Monday, May 30, when they were approached by four teenagers who demanded money.

When the boys refused, one of the offenders took out a knife and pointed it towards them. One of the boys handed over his phone and his zip-up jacket was also taken. The offenders then left the park.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information is asked to Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
