Two men and a woman have appeared in court charged with murder of Northampton man David Miller

Three people have appeared in court in Northampton over the murder of David Miller.

Fifty-six-year-old Mr Miller was found dead at his home address in Patterdale Walk, Boothville in the early hours of Tuesday morning and police have since confirmed he suffered stab wounds.

Zena Kane, aged 35, Ian Cuthbertson, aged 49, and 37-year-old Michael Hallett, all of no fixed address, appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with murder.

Each appeared in the dock separately and spoke only to confirm their details.

Chair of the bench Mr Billingham remanded all of them in custody until a further hearing tomorrow morning at Northampton Crown Court, when bail and other matters will be discussed.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man from Northampton, who was also arrested over the murder remains in police custody.

A 27-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail.

A 19-year-old man was also arrested yesterday (Wednesday, 15) on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Louise Hemingway, leading the murder enquiry, said: “While we have made some charges in the investigation, I still want to continue to appeal to anyone who knew Mr Miller to come forward. I’m especially keen to speak with anyone who may have seen him between Saturday (11 June) morning and Monday (13 June). Please call us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
