A teenager was robbed of his coat and 'Swegway' hoverboard by three men at the side of a busy Northampton road this weekend.

An appeal for witnesses has been launched following the incident at the junction of Gladstone Road and Mill Lane, near to the retail car park, at around 7.15pm on May 20 (Sunday).

The victim was walking on Gladstone Road when a silver car pulled up behind him.

Three men got out of the car, who threatened the 18-year-old and robbed him of his coat and a 'Swegway' hoverboard he was carrying.

The roundabout at the junction was reportedly busy at the time and an appeal for witnesses has been launched.
