A robber confronted a dog walker, demanded he empty pockets and then chased him home before kicking and punching the victim’s door.

The attack started in Preston Court, Lumbertubs, on Sunday December 15 between 8pm and 8.15pm

A police spokesman said: “The victim was walking his dog when he was approached by a man who demanded he empty his pockets. When he refused, the offender attempted to grab his shoulders and demanded again.

“The victim was able to fend him off and began to walk away, but the offender followed and, fearing he was about to get a weapon out his pocket, the victim ran towards home and was chased by the offender.

“When the victim got to his house, the offender walked off. However, a few seconds later he returned and started kicking and punching the door, before running off,” the spokesman added.

The offender is described as white, about 5ft 8in, with a stocky build and very short, fair hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured top with camouflage sleeves and was carrying a rucksack and a half-full bottle of Coca Cola.
