Road in Northampton now reopened following serious accident involving cyclist
Police have reopened a section of road in Northampton after what has been described by police as a 'serious accident'.
Officers put in place a full closure along a stretch of Bedford Road in both directions at about 6am this morning from its junction with the A45 to the Britannia Pub roundabout. The A45 remains open.
Northants Fire Service had earlier said that there had been an accident on Bedford Road at about 6am involving a car and a cyclist. The cyclist was taken to NGH.
police have since said the road is fully open.
