Thieves stole power tools after forcing their way into a van parked at at Northampton golf course.

Detectives revealed the offender or offenders broke open a side door of a silver Ford Transit at Delapre Golf Centre before making off with the stash of tools between 2pm and 4.25pm on Tuesday (September 15).

The value of the tools and damage is estimated to be around £4,000.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "Our officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the theft who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Eagle Drive last Tuesday afternoon, or even who may have been offered any power tools for sale in unusual circumstances.

"Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101 using reference number 20000485219 or, alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you prefer to stay anonymous."
