Police release CCTV images of men wanted over armed robbery in Northamptonshire

Police have released CCTV immages of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an armed robbery in Kettering last year.

The incident took place at the Co-op store in St Johns Road shortly before 5pm on Tuesday, December 29, with police only now releasing the images.

During the incident, two men entered the Co-op store before one of them approached the tills with a hammer and started hitting one of them.

The second man climbed over the counter and pushed the staff member out of the way before filling a black bag with tobacco and cigarettes.

The offender with the hammer hit the till until it opened and then removed the money.

Both offenders left the store through the front entrance and escaped on foot.

Police believe the two men pictured may have vital information that could assist the investigation.
