The offenders are believed to have run off in the direction of Victoria Promenade.

No-one was hurt but the fire caused significant damage to the front of the property.

Officers are also continuing to appeal for information following an arson in Barnfield Close, Kingsthorpe, at about midnight on Wednesday, September 28, when a car parked on the driveway was deliberately set alight.

Detectives are not currently linking the two fires, however, they are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of either incident on the dates and times stated, and who may have seen anything suspicious.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
