Police have been called after another traveller's camp was set up in a Northampton supermarket car park.

Officers attended Tesco in Mereway at around midday today (August 25). A police spokesperson said they were called after reports were made that travellers were allegedly making threats to members of staff.

Around four caravans arrived in the car park this morning.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said the travellers have now left or are being moved on.

This comes a day after travellers set up camp in Asda car park in Far Cotton.Tesco has been contacted for comment.
