Passenger groped after moving away from amorous couple travelling on bus from Northampton

A bus passenger who moved away from a couple getting intimate on a bus from Northampton was groped by the man, police have reported.

The bus was travelling from Northampton to Bedford on Tuesday March 15.

A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: “The incident took place on March 15 at around 7pm on the number 41 Stagecoach, travelling from Northampton to Bedford.

“A woman was made to feel uncomfortable by a man and woman who sat near her and started being intimate with each other. As the victim got up to move away, the man groped her.

“The man is described as white, around 6ft tall, of slim build with short brown hair and five star tattoos on the left side of his face.

“The woman is described as white, around 5’9”, slim with hair in a ponytail. She also had faded tattoos on her face,” the spokesman added.

Detective Constable Chris Avery said: “This assault was unacceptable and we are committed to finding the person responsible. This couple are reported to have been behaving in a sexual manner and I would appeal for anyone travelling on this coach to come forward with information.”
