A 23-year-old woman from Northampton and a 27-year-old man from Dunstable have been arrested after a crash in which a woman suffered "very serious" injuries.

As reported this morning, the crash happened in Wake Way, Grange Park in Northampton on Thursday night, February 6.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Following an appeal, the pair attended Weston Favell Police Station today (Friday, February 7), where they were arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision and driving without due care and attention.

"Officers investigating the collision in Wake Way, Grange Park, Northampton would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, which occurred between 10.55pm and 11.05pm on Thursday, February 6.

"As a result of the collision with the grey VW Passat, a woman in her 20s sustained very serious injuries and remains in the University Hospital Coventry," the spokesperson added.
