Andrew Curtis, of Eynon Close, appeared at Northampton Crown Court after he was charged with downloading and distributing images of child abuse.

The court heard the offences related to a period between 2012 and 2014 and the images were in the most serious ‘A’ category, as well as B and C classed images.

Curtis, who pleaded guilty to all the charges against him, was also charged with owning two handguns without a forearms certificate.

A sentencing date in October was set for the case.

Judge Michael Fowler told Curtis, who appeared in court in a wheelchair, said “he should be in no doubt custody was the likely outcome of the case.”
