Man attempted to steal bike in Northampton

The incident happened between 1pm and 1.30pm, at the north end of Blackthorn Road on a footpath next to a mini-roundabout that leads to a small industrial estate.

The cyclist was approached by a man who spoke briefly to him and then tried pull him off his bike in an apparent attempt to steal it. The victim managed to stop the offender and rode away.

The offender is described as white, about 5ft 5in, with a medium build and scruffy looking. He had a shaved head and was wearing a blue and white striped top.
