Jury discharged in case of Northampton man accused of attempted murder
A jury has been discharged in the trial of a Northampton man accused of attempting to murder an 18-year-old American woman.
David Russell, aged 24, had been on trial since the start of last week on a charge of attempted murder. He denied the charge.
Judge Rupert Mayo today (Wednesday) discharged the jury due to legal reasons. A retrial will take place in September this year.
