Fresh appeal for witnesses over assault in Northampton as victim remains in hospital with life-changing injuries

Detectives investigating an assault in Northampton where a man sustained a head injury are continuing to appeal for the public’s help.
The 21-year-old man remains in hospital after he was assaulted with a shotgun in a property in Lower Meadow Court, Thorplands, at about 12.30am yesterday (Thursday, July 2).

Hide AdDetective Chief Inspector Andy Rogers said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information about this incident.
“The offenders used a weapon, believed to be a shotgun, during the incident, leaving the victim with life-changing injuries and so it’s vital anyone who has any information about this assault comes forward.”
Members of the Northampton Neighbourhood Team are in the area today (Friday) to continue to speak to local residents who may have any concerns about the incident, or who may have any information regarding it.
CI Rogers added: “Although the assault took place in Lower Meadow Court, we’d also like to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious or out of the ordinary activity in the wider Thorplands area on Wednesday or early on Thursday morning.
