Taylor grabbed his former partner’s sister around her throat and then knocked his ex-girlfriend unconscious after he punched her in the head.

The court heard he then punched and kicked his former partner’s sister.

Taylor’s former partner then regained consciousness and she tried to restrain him but he bit her arm and finger.

The court heard Taylor then prevented the two women from leaving the house and threw his former partner on to the pavement after he thought she was using her phone to call the police.

Taylor pleaded guilty to two charges of actual bodily harm. He also admitted a charge of driving while disqualified, committed a month after he was released on bail.

His Honour Judge Rupert Mayo said it was an “unpleasant offence” that included a “humiliating course of conduct”.

Taylor was sentenced to 19 months in prison for the assaults and three months, consecutively, for driving while disqualified.
