Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place in Westcott Way, Corby, between 10.15pm and 10.30pm yesterday (Thursday).

A police spokesman said: “One of the cars, a black Alfa Romeo, was badly damaged and the other one, possibly a Ford Mondeo, failed to stop at the scene.”

The spokesman added that nobody was injured in the collision, which took place close to the turning for the swimming pool.
