Driver clocked near Northampton doing 53mph above limit on a dual carriageway

Car was travelling at 123mph when it was spotted by police speed patrol

A driver was caught doing an astonishing 53mph above the limit on a dual carriageway near Northampton.

Northants Safer Roads spotted the driver while out doing enforcement action on the A43 between Towcester and the M1. The car was travelling at 123mph.

A spokerson said: "The team have been out again today with enforcement on the A43 between Towcester and the M1 resulting in 1 vehicle being caught doing a dangerous 123mph - a crazy 53mph over the legal limit. If it goes wrong at that speed it will not end well."
