Police are appealing for a potential witness to come forward following about a suspected drink-driving incident in Northampton.

A woman arrested in White Hills Crescent in the north of the town last Wednesday (May 27) was released pending further enquiries.

Now officers have issued this photo of a man wearing a blue Super Man T-shirt they believe might have seen the incident and could help their investigation.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "Officers were made aware of a woman suspected to be drink-driving at about 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 27.

"A 52-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

"Officers are now looking to locate this man as they believe he may have witnessed the drink-driving incident and could therefore assist the investigation.

"We would ask the man in the image, or anyone who knows who he is, to call us on 101 using incident number 20000268265."
