Car thieves used stolen vehicle to getaway after burglary in Moulton

Three burglars stole a blue VW Golf from a property in Moulton after breaking in and stealing the car keys.

Thieves stole a blue VW Golf from an address in Moulton

Police believe three men used a stolen, red VW Golf to travel to the house in Carey Close, Moulton, between 3.20pm and 3.40pm on Friday, July 15 and then stole keys to a blue VW Golf along with a brown Michael Kors denim satchel bag.

They left using both vehicles and are believed to have travelled into Northampton, past the university on Boughton Green Road.

The offenders are all described as men having scarves around their faces. Their heads were covered by hoodies or baseball caps.

Police believe the men may have been in the area in the days leading up to the incident and are appealing for anybody who saw or heard anything suspicious in the preceding days to phone police.

The blue Golf is pictured. The red one was stolen from Gayton earlier in the evening.
