BREAKING NEWS: Four people killed in head-on car crash are believed to be from Northampton, say police
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the fatal collision in which four people died and three others were seriously injured on the A420 at Shrivenham bypass, near Swindon last night.
The force says that at 11.15pm a black Mercedes and a blue Citroen Saxo collided between the Watchfield roundabout and the Highworth turn off.

Tragically, all four occupants of the Citroen Saxo, two men and two women all in their mid-twenties, died at the scene.
A spokesman for Thames Valley said this afternoon: “It is believed they were living in the Northampton area. The deceased have not yet been formally identified.”
The three occupants of the Mercedes, the male driver, a female passenger in her 30s and a three-year-old boy were all taken to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford where they are being treated for their injuries, which are not, at this stage, believed to be life-threatening.
