Boy, 12, subjected to violent attack in Northampton park

A 12-year-old boy was punched several times after he was approached by four boys in a pocket park in Northampton.

The boy was playing at Southfields pocket park with a friend between 6pm and 6.20pm on Monday, June 20, when he was approached by the four attackers, who he did not know.

The boys punched the victim several times in the back, head and body.

Descriptions have been given for three of the attackers. One was described as being of small build, white and Irish. Another wore a grey t-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and had brown hair, and a third wore a yellow t-shirt.
