Attacker armed with knife threatens and chases man in Northamptonshire

Police are appealing for witnesses after an attacker armed with a knife threatened and chased a man in Northamptonshire.

The incident happened on Friday, April 15, between 7.45pm and 8.15pm in George Street, Corby, close to the Corby Cube.

The victim was walking to the outdoor gym area in the woods – near the front of the swimming pool – when he was confronted by a man who pulled a knife on him and tried to attack him.

He ran off towards the cinema and was chased by the man, who stopped when he was disturbed by a council warden.

The offender is described as white, clean-shaven, about 20 years old and 5ft 7in with a large build and brown or ginger hair.

He was wearing a black tracksuit.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
