County firms compete in netball competition by Northamptonshire Sport for staff

Six teams from workplaces in Northamptonshire took part in the Workplace Challenge Netball Competition.

The competition was held at Moulton School, Northampton and was delivered by England Netball and Northamptonshire Sport.

Teachers, head teachers, teaching assistants, and administration staff from Bugbrooke Primary School, Parklands Primary School, Irchester Primary School and Lodge Park Academy, battled it out to become the Netball Champions of the Workplace Challenge.

Bugbrooke Primary School won the title, with Lodge Park Academy, Corby coming in a close second and Irchester Primary School taking third place, closely followed by teams from Parklands Primary School.

Kelly Walker, from England Netball said “The competition was a great success with good sportsmanship being shown all round. It gave teams the chance the take part in a Netball competition even if they hadn’t played in a long time. It was good to see so many schools involved and everyone having a great time.”

Next up as part of the Workplace Challenge Northamptonshire, Northamptonshire Sport and Volleyball England are organising a Volleyball Competition. This will take place on Tuesday 3rd March at the National Volleyball Centre, Kettering. Teams of up to 5 players can enter and compete against other workplaces in and fun and friendly Volleyball competition for just £3 per player.
