Cobblers supporters will get the chance to meet the team’s players at a special autograph signing session in Northampton, on the eve of a crucial home fixture.

Northampton Town Football Club fans can meet the players at the Guildhall’s One Stop Shop between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on Friday, February 6 – the day before the team takes on Morecambe FC, who currently sit three points ahead of Cobblers in League Two.

The footballers are set to meet the fans, sign autographs and pose for photos as part of a wider programme of visits the club arranges to give supporters the chance to meet the players.

Chairman of Northampton Town Football Club, David Cardoza, said: “We make regular visits to schools, workplaces and offices and they prove really popular, allowing supporters to mix with the players.

“We are delighted to have been invited to attend the One Stop Shop, right in the heart of the town centre.”

Club staff will also be on hand to sell tickets for the upcoming home games against Morecambe on February 7, York on February 21 and Portsmouth on March 3.

Mr Cardoza continued: “As a big part of the community we are looking forward to spending time with the staff and visitors at the Guildhall and we hope to see many of them at our upcoming matches.”

Leader of the Northampton Borough Council, Councillor David Mackintosh, (Con, Rectory Farm) said: “A host of local services operate from the One Stop Shop and it is great for us to welcome the football club too.

“The Guildhall is a brilliant location in the heart of town and I hope supporters will come along on the day to meet the players and get their tickets.”
