The panto crew - who will appear at Northampton's Deco Theatre this Christmas - even secured two goals against the girls until a dramatic saw Welland Valley equalise for a 2-2 finish.

The seven-a-side football match will be the main feature of a promotional film ahead of the pantomime this year after the girls won a Deco competition.

Welland Valley coach Rob Golding said: "It was fantastic fun and the girls loved every minute of it. We were absolutely thrilled to be chosen to appear in the video. The cast were all a pleasure to be with and we’re all really looking forward to meeting up again with them in December when we go to see the panto."
