Weston Favell Shopping Centre is opening its Santa’s Grotto and having a Christmas parade.
The events will happen on Saturday, November 14, from noon.
Among the attractions on the day will be appearances and walk arounds from a host of Christmas favourites and there will be the Emmanuel Church nativity characters and festive stilt walkers.
The Deco Theatre will also be bringing some characters along from their Christmas pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, including Coronation Street’s Nick Cochrane and Hollyoaks’ Karl James Wilson.
The parade also marks the opening of Weston Favell’s Christmas Grotto. Father Christmas will be in his grotto every weekend in November and from the December 3 he will be there every day.
Children can go inside and share their wish list with Santa and receive a memento from the man himself. Visitors can book a time to see Father Christmas on the Weston Favell website, http://www.bookfatherchristmas.co.uk/westonfavell.
Centre manager, Kevin Legg said: “Each year we strive to improve our Christmas Parade and Grotto, this year will be no different. The parade is something I always look forward to, there is always a buzz of excitement in the centre; families love it. It really kicks off our countdown to Christmas, a very special time of the year.”
