Child airlifted to hospital following two-vehicle crash on Northamptonshire road

A child was airlifted to Birmingham Children’s Hospital yesterday following a crash involving two vehicles in Northamptonshire.

Emergency services including Northamptonshire and Warwickshire Air Ambulance were called to the A425 in Staverton between Daventry Road and Stefen Way scene at 3.55pm yesterday (Monday).

The road was closed while firefighters worked to free several passengers trapped in the vehicles and one person was taken to University Hospital Coventry.

No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the incident and the road was reopened by 8pm.
