Charity shop manager left devastated after thieves raid Northampton store

The manager of a charity shop in Northampton hit by thieves has spoken after her upset after the break-in.

Burglars raided the Mind shop in Regents Square at some point during the day yesterday and overnight.

“I went in first thing this morning and the door and window had been smashed and they had taken the most expensive stuff from the shop,” she said.

“It was an absolute mess, they had gone through the back rooms and they were obviously looking for any money. They also damaged the wooden frame of the door and window,” Ms Gulenko added.

The stolen items, which were all donated by members of the public, had a value of about £300, she said.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the break-in which happened between 11am on Sunday and 8.30am on Monday.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or use the anonymous online form at
