Celebrity dancer Louie Spence officially opens new performing arts centre for adults with disabilities in Northampton

Celebrity dancer Louie Spence has officially opened The Cube Disability Arts Academy, a brand new performing arts centre for adults with learning disabilities. The star of Sky One's Pineapple Dance Studios visited the custom built centre based in Kingsthorpe which provides opportunities for learning disabled adults with a passion for performing arts to work towards nationally recognised arts awards.

Mr Spence, watched performances put on by the arts academy students and joined them in a group dance during his visit. He then cut the ribbon to officially open the arts academy.

Mr Spence said: “I’m so grateful to have been asked to officially open The Cube Disability Arts Academy today. This is a fantastic centre offering adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to express themselves through performing arts”.
