South Northamptonshire Council has appointed First Catering, a company which specialises in providing catering for community facilities, to run the café in The Forum, Towcester’s new community building.
The company, which will be employing local people, prides itself on its homemade produce, a varied daily specials menu and strong interaction with customers.
Councillor Dermot Bambridge, Portfolio holder for Economic Development,Regeneration and Housing, said: “The Forum’s café will be a hive of activity at the heart of Towcester’s exciting regeneration project.”
Customers who visit the council offices, library or register office, all based at The Forum, and staff in the building will be able to call into the café and order freshly ground coffee, breakfasts, sandwiches and other lunch options.
There will also be a chef’s special which will change daily.
Brendan Grady, First Catering Services Manager, who will be running the café, said: “We are very much looking forward to starting up this new venture and we would love to hear what people would particularly like on the menu.
“We always talk to our customers and like to get feedback on their experiences and we look forward to meeting the residents of South Northamptonshire.”
