Cash taken in robbery by Northampton supermarket

A robber took cash from a man's pocket as he walked in an alleyway in Northampton.

A man was robbed in an alleyway behind Asda, Kingsthorpe.

The 27-year-old man was walking along the alleyway behind Asda in Harborough Road, on Friday, December 9, when he was approached by another man who asked him for money.

The suspect then approached the victim and took cash from the victim’s pocket before walking oRobber ff with a friend.

The incident took place between 2.50pm and 3.05pm and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.

The offender was black, around 18 years old and 5ft 9 inches tall. He was of stocky build, with facial stubble and wore a dark blue hooded top with blue tracksuit bottoms.
