Cash and jewellery stolen from house in Kilsby

Thieves broke into a house in Kilsby and stole cash and jewellery.

Northamptonshire Police are now appealing for witnesses following the burglary on Friday April 4 between 1.30 and 3.45pm.

Three men had knocked on the back window of a house in Rugby Road and told the householder her neighbour’s house had been flooded and she needed to turn off her water. The woman did not let the men in and they left.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “The woman went to check on her neighbour, who said everything was fine. However, a short time later, the neighbour realised a window at the back of the house had been smashed cash and various jewellery had been stolen, including a gold pocket watch on a chain.”

The three men were white. One of the men was about 5ft 8in, with a large build. He was wearing a light-coloured puffa jacket and a dark baseball cap. The other two men were slightly smaller and aged in their late teens to early 20s. One of them was wearing a woolly hat.
