One lucky man from Northampton has scooped a £1,209 jackpot at Aspers after playing one of casino’s oldest card games.
Nicholas Berry, who lives in the town centre, was one of many visitors to the award-winning casino throughout May who took part in Aspers’ baccarat promotion.
Mr Berry took home the big win after accruing the highest number of winning baccarat hands throughout the month.
Speaking of his feat, Mr Berry said: “I’ve always liked playing baccarat; it’s a very traditional card game that more people are now starting to enjoy, but I never thought I would take home the Aspers’ jackpot! I’m excited to share my winning with my family.”
“The popularity of baccarat has grown tremendously over the past few years.” said David Stratford, general manager at Aspers Casino.
“Worldwide, it has overtaken blackjack in terms of game play and at Aspers, we’re finding that more and more people are talking about it, partly due to its association with the nation’s favourite secret service agent!
“On behalf of everyone at Aspers, I’d like to congratulate Mr Berry and we look forward to seeing him again soon.”
