A car was set alight in an arson attack early this morning in Northampton.
The targeted car was parked on a slope. After it was set alight, it rolled backwards down the bank into another car.
The other car’s bumper was partically melted by the heat from the burning car.
Firefighters used a water hose to extinguish the blaze.
A spokeswoman from Northamptonshire Police said: “We received a 999 call reporting a burning vehicle in William Street at 3:40am.
“We are treating this as an arson attack.
“Northamptonshire Police would like to speak to any witnesses to this attack.”
