Car narrowly avoids crashing into Charles Bradlaugh statue in Northampton town centre

The statue of Charles Bradlaugh in Northampton town centre was spared damage as a car almost crashed directly into it.

A blue VW Golf collided with a flower pot at the foot of the statue in Abington Square at 2.30pm this afternoon (May 29).

Northamptonshire Police reported a grey BMW was also involved in the incident, and no injuries have been reported.
