Car and lorry crash in Raunds leaves man in hospital

A man whose car collided with an articulated lorry has suffered serious injuries.

A black Renault Megane driver was hurt when his car collided with a Scania arctic lorry on the A45 near to the BP Services/McDonalds Roundabout on the outskirts of Raunds

The collision happened at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 1, when the Megane, which was travelling eastbound towards the A14, collided with the lorry which was heading in the opposite direction.

The 27-year-old driver of the Megane was taken to University Hospital Coventry where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the lorry, a 52-year-old man from Rushden, was shaken but unhurt.
