An election hustings event will be held at Northampton Saints’ ground in April featuring the candidates for the Northampton South constituency.

The event, which is free to attend, has been organised by St James Residents’ Association and will take place in the Heroes Lounge in Franklin’s Gardens on Tuesday, April 14 from 7pm.

All the candidates for the Northampton South seat including Rose Gibbins (UKIP), Julie Hawkins (Green), David Mackintosh (Con) and Kevin McKeever (Lab) are expected to attend.

Graham Croucher, Secretary of SJRA, said: “This is an exclusive and rare opportunity for voters in Northampton South to hear what the candidates have to say and it’s their chance to meet them face to face and put questions.

“You may have seen the election leaflets but now you have the chance to put your questions to the faces on those leaflets. It’s your vote, your question time.”

Only 150 seats available so booking is advisable via www.eventbrite.co.uk/questionthe candidates or email stjamesra@phonecoop.coop
