Busker had entire day’s takings stolen in robbery

A busker had his entire day’s takings stolen by a man who accused him of ‘taking his spot’ in a Northamptonshire town centre.

The guitarist had been playing in Wellingborough town centre on Saturday, March 15.

After finishing playing, he returned to his car in the Swansgate car park between 3.45pm and 4.10pm. But, before he could get into his car, he was approached by a man and a woman.

The man accused him of ‘taking his spot’ and grabbed the bag containing the money he had made that day.

The man is described as black, aged between 25 and 30, slim, and about 6ft. He was wearing sports clothes and a baseball cap.

The woman he was with was shorter than him and in her early to mid-twenties. She had a silver piercing on her face.
