Burglars who stole a back door key during a previous raid returned to a Northampton, stealing a car, jewellery and a mobile phone.

The break-in happened in the early hours of Tuesday December 16, between 1am and 8am.

A police spokesman said: “They got into the property through the back door. It is believed they used a key stolen in a previous burglary.

“They stole various items including a purse, jewellery and a mobile phone. They also took a set of car keys and stole a silver VW Golf estate,” he added.

Witnesses, or anyone who may have information about any of the stolen property, including some Wolf Garter garden tools with red handles that were in the car, are asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
