Burglars break into the home of elderly man in Northampton

Burglars left empty-handed after they smashed their way into the Northampton home of an elderly man.

Sometime between 7.45pm and 8pm on Wednesday, February 25, burglars broke in to the property in Malcolm Drive, St James, by smashing a window and reaching in to open the door.

Following a search of some of the rooms, the offenders left empty-handed. The elderly victim was in the property at the time.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
