Burglar flees empty-handed after being disturbed during burglary in Roade

A burglar fled a house in Roade after being disturbed while he searched the property.

The house in Northampton Road was broken into sometime between 3.45pm and 4.09pm on Thursday, December 4.

The thief smashed a window to get into the house then searched the property before filling several bags with items to be taken.

Fortunately, he was disturbed before he could get away and fled by climbing out of a rear window. He left the bags of items in the house.
