Britain's Got Talent star from Northamptonshire to sing at Wembley again

Faryl, who is from Kettering and shot to fame during the 2008 series of Britain’s Got Talent, has been asked to sing the National Anthem at Wembley ahead of the final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Sunday, April 3.

She will lead the crowd in a rendition of God Save The Queen before Barnsley and Oxford United take to the pitch.

Faryl’s dad Tony said: “The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy have requested Faryl to sing again this year at Wembley.

“This will be the sixth time for Faryl to have the honour of singing the National Anthem at Wembley.”

Faryl’s past performances at Wembley, which has a 90,000 capacity, include singing before the start of the FA Cup finals in 2009 and 2010 and at last year’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final between Bristol City and Walsall.

She also sang the National Anthem before last year’s Community Shield match between Arsenal and Chelsea.

Faryl, who Simon Cowell described as ‘literally one in a million’ when she was on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, has also sung for Royalty, dueted with Russell Watson and met a host of celebrities while performing at venues and events across the country.

But it all started in Kettering with Faryl aged just 10 winning 13 awards at the Eisteddfod in her home town before she took first prize in the 10 to 15 age group at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.

People can catch Faryl’s forthcoming performance at Wembley on Sky Sports at 2.30pm on Sunday, April 3.
