Two Northampton men have been found guilty of murder and attempted murder after a four-week trial at Northampton Crown Court.
Vladlens Ignashko, aged 40 and Igors Kolkunovs, aged 27, attacked two men they had been drinking with at their flat in Cliftonville Court on April 9 this year.
Olegs Sergejevs, aged 38, died as the result of the injuries he suffered and Denis Segodins, aged 32, suffered life-threatening wounds.
A jury heard that Ignashko and Kolkunovs, Latvian nationals, attacked the men after an alleged ‘drunken insult’
Ignashko and Kolkunovs were both found unanimously guilty of charges of murder and attempted murder.
The pair will be sentenced later this week.
