BREAKING NEWS: Fire crews tackle lorry fire at Northampton Tesco store


Firefighters tackled a blaze involving a delivery lorry at a Tesco store in Northampton on Sunday night.

Emergency services were called out to the Mereway store at 8.42pm after reports that a lorry carrying general food, aerosols and other items had caught fire.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service sent four pumps and a water bowser to bring the blaze under control. The lorry was understood to be in the service road for the store.

A spokesperson for the fire service said there were no injuries, and no other buildings were affected by the blaze.
