Bid to trace good Samaritan who came to the aid of assault victim in Northampton

Attempts are being made to find a good Samaritan who gave a 37-year-old man a lift home after the passer by had been assaulted in Northampton early on Saturday morning.

The victim was assaulted in St Peter’s Way car park, between 3am and 4am on Saturday.

An unknown person attacked the 37-year-old, causing heavy swelling to the right side of his face.

A member of the public went to the victim’s aid in Gold Street and gave him a lift home in a Black Mercedes.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or who may have any information regarding it.

They would also like to speak to the member of the public who went to the victim’s aid.
