Ben uses his head to launch Three Peaks Challenge in tribute to his mum

A grieving son who wanted to show his thanks to his mum for his upbringing has raised £1,000 in less than two days for a charity supporting children.

Ben Scholes, launched a campaign in a bid to kick-start his fundraising efforts for Global’s Make Some Noise and Kidsaid.

Thanks to friends, colleagues and social media, Ben hit his £1,000 target in under 48 hours, starting his fundraising for the Three Peaks Challenge he is undertaking.

Ben, who heads up the CarShop Cares Charity Programme for the retailer CarShop, decided to embark on the challenge with a number of UK CarShop colleagues.

After sharing a heart-felt video online in which Ben paid tribute to his mother, Ben committed to shaving his head if £1,000 was raised in two weeks, however, the target set was met within two days.
