Back to the 80s for Rockin' Roadrunner Mini Festival in Northampton
The seventh Rockin' Roadrunner Mini Festival takes place in Northampton's Abington Park bandstand this Sunday.
This year the festival is funded by The Arts Council with contributions from Northampton Community Foundation, The Cube, Olympus Care services, Clayson Country Homes and Greeners estate agents.
The 80s-themed festival - from 12 noon until 5pm - is a free community event and is for people with special needs, as well as their families and carers.
On the day festival-goers can expect live music from Whamtastic, The Rock Choir, Similar Jones and workshops from The Performing Rooms and special needs arts group, Dance with a Difference.
A spokeswoman for the festival said: "This year our theme will be the 80s (dressing up is always encouraged). So brush off those shoulder pads, sweatbands and shell suits and get into the 80s groove."
There will also be a neon sensory and silent disco, a petting farm, Pets As Therapy dogs, games, festival face painters, photo booth, music workshops, jam sessions, craft tent, inflatables and rides.
Food stands will also be on site as well as a changing space with a hoist and table.
Extra parking for the event will be available on the park opposite in Park Avenue South and blue badge holders will be directed behind the cafe.
